Day Treatment For Addictions

Day treatment is a suitable option for clients who wish to battle addiction but are unable to or unwilling to attend residential treatment.

Who Can Benefit From Day Treatment?

Most of our treatments start with an intensive programme at one of our residences. This provides a safe and secure environment in which a client can face their addiction and begin their long-term recovery.

However, residing as an inpatient is not appropriate for everyone. You may have family to care for, work commitments to fulfill, or you simply might not be ready to commit to residential care. If so, day treatment is always an option.

What Does Day Treatment Involve?

Day treatment is open to anyone who has an addiction they would like to overcome, but is not able to stay at our residential centre. It involves attending the centre for one to five days a week, depending upon your needs and goals. You will join the current group therapy session for the day, and will also have one to one sessions with your own counsellor.

Day Treatment CareThe programme will continue for a minimum of four weeks and will be designed to meet your specific requirements. Our therapeutic team will work with you to examine the underlying issues contributing towards your addiction, and will use this information to create a treatment plan that works for you.

Individual Day Treatment Plans

Our experts take a comprehensive approach, examining your psychological profile, physical conditions and history of substance abuse. We will also address any personal difficulties, relationship problems and self-destructive patterns of behaviour. Having a better understanding of these issues will ensure we are able to create an effective individual treatment programme that helps you tackle addiction.

Although you will not be staying at the centre, your care will still be highly structured and highly supportive. We will continually review your treatment, amending it as and when your needs and requirements change. This includes preparing for the next stage of recovery and exploring the options open to you. This might involve ongoing aftercare, counselling or complementary therapies.
